On Thursday15th October, we will be celebrating Shwmae Day.

Shwmae Day is a day marked each year in Wales to celebrate and promote the Welsh language, encouraging non-Welsh speakers and stimulating community use of the language. We have plans to celebrate Shwmae Day in school for all year groups;

Lower School and Year 5

All pupils come to school wearing something Welsh or Welsh colours.

Pupils will have a Welsh activity with their class teacher during the day.

Pupils in Copa

During Registration time pupils will have Shwmae day activities.

The Welsh department have launched a New Welsh flag competition for Year 6 and 7. We will award 2 pupils from each class to have a certificate and a prize.

We are really looking forward to celebrating our Welshness and having fun. Thank you for your continued support a look out for the Shwmae day tweets.

Diolch yn fawr.
